Celebration of International Peace Day

Every year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples. FATA University also celebrated the International Peace Day. It included week long activities such as poster competition, peace walk, discussions on peace and a seminar. On September 28, 2018 a seminar was arranged in this regard. Prof. Dr. Fukh-rul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre graced the occasion as a Guest Speaker. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tahir Shah and Advisor Academics & Dean Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa addressed the audience on the importance of ‘Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions’’. Ms Shagufta Aman of Political Science department, Ms Shehrzad Ameena Khattak of English Department, and Ms. Shafaq-Zu-fishan of Mathematics Department were the chief organizers of the seminar and the Peace activities. The seminar ended with a peace walk attended by the honorable Vice Chancellor, Guest Speaker, Dean, faculty members and the students.
