Mr. Arsalan Asad, Assistant Director Sports, FATA University as a member of the Pakistan National Taekwondo Team participated in the 8th Asian Club Taekwondo and 29th Alafajar Open Taekwondo Championship at Karaj, Iran from April 20-24, 2018. The Pakistan National Taekwondo team comprised of 16 players, representing diverse departments of national level including Pak Army, WAPDA, NBP, PAF and FATA University. Mr. Arsalan upgraded his ranking from 7th to 5th in Asia in this tournament, which is the best rank of Pakistan Taekwondo athlete at Asian Level and also No.1 rank at Pakistan level. This title of National Champion is defended continuously by him since 2012. This impressive Asian competition was also watched by the President of Iran the Honorable Hassan Rouhani and at this occasion he issued a message of peace and harmony in world especially in Asian region through sports diplomacy. The Vice Chancellor FATA University has appreciated Arsalan's achievements and bringing good name to the FATA University.
